Driver Spotted Driving Wrong Way on Hwy. 52 Near Chatfield Now Charged in Stolen Vehicle Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Stewartville woman spotted driving the wrong way on Hwy. 52 is now facing felony theft charges.

That’s according to a criminal complaint that was filed in Olmsted County Court on Thursday. The incident occurred this past May.
The charges say a Chatfield police officer stopped a vehicle seen driving the wrong way on a two-lane stretch of Hwy. 52 just north of Chatfield around 3:00 on the morning of May 6.

27-year-old Kia Daneille Lorentzen was identified as the driver, according to the charges.
Authorities learned from dispatch that the vehicle driven by Lorentzen was reported stolen and the vehicle’s owner later confirmed to law enforcement that she was the one who reported the vehicle theft, the court document says.
The owner’s wallet was found in the front passenger seat of the vehicle and Lorentzen did not have permission to take the vehicle, the complaint says.
Lorentzen is charged with felony motor vehicle theft and a felony count of receiving stolen property and is due to make her first court appearance in the case in February.
