Rochester’s Favorite Greenhouse Spots Are Open – Here’s Where to Shop
Just the other day, I went on a roadtrip to southwest Wisconsin to visit a bunch of Amish greenhouses. I try to make this an annual trip but it never fails...I either run out of space in my vehicle or I run out of cash.
Both of those sad moments abruptly end my plant shopping adventure prematurely.

Check Out One Of The Newest Greenhouses in Rochester - A&L Greenhouse
My commute to and from the Y-105FM studio in Rochester goes down the busy North Broadway road. The other day, I noticed something new popped up near my Caribou Coffee hangout - a greenhouse! Pretty sure my smile got 100x bigger when I saw it.
Turns out, A&L Greenhouse, who opened for the first time in Rochester last year, made a move from 7th Street to Broadway Ave for the 2026 season. Here's a bit about them and what to expect when you stop by to shop:
We’re so glad you’re here. I’m Annaleah, and the guy in the sunglasses is Landen. Together we’re the “A” and “L” behind A & L—short for Annaleah and Landen (we like to keep it simple).
We’re a couple of plant lovers with two sweet pups—Oscar and Duck—who are always ready for some pets (and maybe a game of fetch if you’re up for it).
All of our flowers, plants, and veggies come from Landen’s family friend, Darin, who owns Hafner’s Greenhouse up in Park Rapids. We bring them down to Rochester to share the beauty and joy of his amazing plants with our local community.
Thanks for stopping by—we hope you find something that makes your space a little greener and a lot happier! - A&L Greenhouse Facebook Page
