After 10 Years, This Community-Focused Coffee Shop Is Closing
Another Minnesota business has announced it will be closing its doors. Buzz Coffee & Cafe in Burnsville confirmed it will be serving its last cup. Once that final cup is poured, it will mark the end of a popular gathering spot that has been community-focused since the start.

Another Business In Minnesota Is Closing For Good - Buzz Coffee & Cafe
These announcements are never easy, but the latest closing news from Buzz Coffee & Cafe in Burnsville wasn't about the "why"; it was about the "gratitude".
After much thought, my dad and I have made the difficult decision not to renew our lease. We don’t have a final day solidified yet, but it will be by the end of this year, and I’ll keep you all updated. While there are many reasons behind this decision, today isn’t about those reasons. Today is about gratitude.
In the video that Jasmine, one of the owners, posted, she went on to reveal how the idea of this coffee shop wasn't just about the drinks. The goal was to create a place for the community - where people could connect, show support for others, and gather. And over the past ten years, that goal has been accomplished over and over.
Together, we raised nearly $10,000 to support our neighbors affected by the food desert created in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder. Together, we donated more than $10,000 to local schools, nonprofits, and charitable organizations. Together, we started a pay-it-forward chain that lasted more than two weeks. Together, during COVID, we packed and mailed essential goods all over the United States to people who couldn’t leave their homes and couldn’t find the supplies they needed. Together, we hosted a community chili night that fed more than 100 families. Together, we maintained a community food shelf that helped many hundreds of individuals facing difficult times. Together, we supported dozens of families with food, essentials, and assistance during Operation Metro Surge. And together, from March 16, 2016, through our final day, we spent more than 3,800 days serving great coffee, great conversation, and building a community we will never forget.
When Is The Buzz Coffee & Cafe Closing?
According to the video and note on social media, a final date hasn't been decided yet. They'll be updating fans on that last day on Instagram. Their crew is hoping you stop in one last time before the doors close for good.
As we enter our final months, we hope you’ll stop by, share a memory, enjoy a cup of coffee, and help us celebrate everything we’ve built together. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives.
