Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash in southeastern Minnesota resulted in injuries for a man and woman riding on a motorcycle.

An SUV was also involved in the crash. The driver of the SUV was the only person in the vehicle.

The State Patrol responded to the collision shortly before 11:30 Thursday morning.

Man and Woman from Brooklyn Park Riding Motorcycle Injured in Wabasha County Crash

The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Wabasha County Rd. 77 in Reads Landing, which is about three miles northwest of Wabasha

Both the SUV and motorcycle were traveling south when they collided at the intersection. The state crash report does not say which vehicle was leading.

38-year-old Eric James Schwarz of Brooklyn Park was driving the motorcycle. The State Patrol identified his passenger as 62-year-old Susan Diane Schwarz of Brooklyn Park.

Eric and Susan both suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

Susan was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester and Eric was treated at the scene, the State Patrol indicates. 

79-year-old Donald Anthony Evanson of Minnesota City was driving the SUV. He was not hurt, the State Patrol says. 

Alcohol was not involved in the crash. Eric and Susan were both wearing helmets and Evanson was buckled up, the state crash report says. 

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Fire Department and Wabasha Ambulance also responded to the crash.
