New Anchor Just Announced for ABC 6 News in Minnesota

Quite a few of us in Southeast Minnesota bring you news and the weather every single day.  Some of us on the radio are voices that you recognize.  (BTW, if you ever see me out and about, you are more than welcome to come up and say hello!)  When it comes to our news and weather personalities on TV, you can spot them pretty much anywhere because you see their faces as you are sitting in your living room.

The last few days, one of Southeast Minnesota's well-known news stations has been teasing a big announcement, and based on the info they shared, it is a face that we should be able to spot while we are shopping in Rochester.

Big Announcement From ABC 6 News in Southeast Minnesota

Facebook was buzzing over the weekend thanks to a tease that ABC 6 News shared.

We have a very special announcement coming on Tuesday.
Tune in at 6 p.m. on January 2nd to welcome the new year and a familiar face.

Guesses started rolling in the comments section almost immediately hoping that James Wilcox, Betsy Singer, Jim Peterson, Chris Kuball would be the familiar face showing up again on the tv screen.  All of these individuals were part of the ABC 6 News team in the past and are loved by many in the community.

Mayzie Olson Joining News Anchor Desk at ABC 6 News in Rochester, Minnesota

She started as an intern at ABC 6 News and now, she is going to be sitting at the news desk with Robin Wolfram for the 6 pm and 10 pm news. She will also be anchoring the 5 pm newscast.
