When you walk into a hotel room, what is the first thing that you do?  When I was a kid, I'd always bounce on the bed.  Now that I'm an adult, I typically Lysol everything before I let my kids touch anything.  I also take note what the "extras" are - like the fancy shampoo and lotions.  For some reason, these little soaps always smell better than what we have at home.

Most of us have no issue with taking those small bottles of shampoo and lotion from our hotel room when we check out.  However, based on the latest survey by travelawaits.com, there are a few other items that people are stealing during their stay.  Look through the list below and see if the top items are what you are stashing in your suitcase.

Top 10 Items People Are Stealing From Hotels in Rochester, Minnesota

If you live in Rochester, you know that we get a lot of visitors in this town...and most of them are because of Mayo Clinic.  I read through a report today from Destination Medical Center and learned that Rochester has about 2.7 to 3.3 million total visitors each year.  Of that number, 1.5 million people are patients at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

One thing that I have learned about Mayo Clinic these past few years during my husbands' treatment is that one appointment can lead to more and sometimes, even a multi-day hospital stay.  Thankfully, when my husband has his appointments, I can just drive down Broadway and head home when we are done.  That isn't the reality for the majority of people that are coming to Rochester for medical care.  Thankfully, the Med City has about 60 different hotel and motel options and there are over 6,000 hotel rooms available.  Not everyone who is staying in those is quietly putting these items in the suitcases, but based on the latest stats, these are the top items that get stolen from hotel rooms.
