There is a place that has a special spot in my heart.  And I know I'm not alone in this feeling.

Many years ago, my family lived through the chaos of cancer.  My sister was just 10 years old when she was diagnosed.  In this time of life when ATM's and cell phones weren't around yet, my mom would often leave our house with my sister and not know when she'd get to come back.  Many times, she left with just a few dollars in her pocket.

Sleeping in a hospital room was normal (and not always comfortable).  But there were times when going back home was too risky or they had to stay nearby for more appointments.  When you've already got garbage bags full of bills, affording a hotel room was not a luxury that could happen.

Thankfully, there was another place that my mom and sister could go.  It was right across the street from the hospital and went by the name of "Ronald McDonald House".

Thanks to an item that just showed up again on the McDonald's menu, YOU can help families like mine have a home away from home.

A.  Nope.  Just order and .25 cents of each shake and McFlurry sold will go to help out the houses.

Q.  How long can we order Shamrock Shakes and help out the Ronald McDonald House?

A.  All orders from February 10th until March 23rd will go to help out the houses.

Q.  How many families did the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, Minnesota help in 2024?

A. "In 2024, our chapter served more families than we ever have. So it was an incredible year to be able to be there for so many families. We provided support and services to 1315 families.
