Minnesota Now Has 8 Starbucks Stores That Are Closed

If you are a coffee lover, you aren't alone!  According to Drive Research, there are about 2.25 billion cups of coffee consumed every day throughout the world.  Although our daily coffee consumption in the U.S is at a 20-year high, one coffee company is struggling financially.

A few days ago, I let you know that 7 Starbucks stores in Minnesota were closing.  Sadly, another one was just added to the list.

Another Starbucks Location Added To The List Of Stores That Are Closing in Minnesota

Minnesota has got you covered if you are looking for a coffee shop.  Based on data from Rentech Digital, there were about 2,281 coffee shops in the Land of 10,000 Lakes as of May 2025.  Unfortunately, that number is now slightly lower.

Just last week, news hit that Milkweed, a popular coffee and gluten-free shop in Minneapolis, was closing.  A few hours after that news hit, Starbucks announced that it would be closing multiple stores in the United States.  At first, Starbucks wasn't revealing the locations that were set to close...but as soon as Starbucks started to update its locations on its website, word started to spread pretty fast.

Last Friday, KARE 11 shared a huge list of locations that were closing.  I found out that a Rochester location was also set to close.

Now, it seems like that list is growing again.  Today, I found out that one more location has been added for Minnesota.

Red Wing, Minnesota Starbucks Location Now On The List To Close

While Minnesota is still mourning the list of Starbucks stores below that are closing, another one is being added to the list.

Minnesota Starbucks Stores That Are Now Closing: 

• Minneapolis: 120 S. 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402
• Minneapolis: 2212 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55405
• Minneapolis: 2544 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404
• Minneapolis: 40 S. 7th St, Minneapolis, MN 55402
• Rochester: 101 11th Ave. SW - the Even Hotel location - they closed on Saturday, September 27th
• Roseville: 2020 Twin Lakes PKWY, Roseville, MN 55113
• St. Paul: 300 Snelling, St. Paul, MN 55105

According to USAToday.com, the Starbucks at 1315 Old W Main Street in Red Wing is also now closed.
