A jeep heading south collided with the southbound tractor, the state crash report says.

Fountain, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota man was taken to a hospital after a crash involving a tractor over the weekend.

It happened on Hwy. 52 in Fillmore County shortly before 4:30 Monday afternoon. The State Patrol says the drivers were the only people involved in the collision

69-Year-Old Fountain Man Injured in Collision Between Jeep and Tractor on Hwy. 52 in Fillmore County

The crash occurred between Preston and Fountain near the intersection of Hwy. 52 and Jade Rd., which is about 30 miles southeast of Rochester. 

A jeep heading south collided with the southbound tractor, the state crash report says. 

69-year-old Steven Andrew Baker of Fountain was driving the Jeep. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says. 

A 16-year-old boy, identified as Nolan Aaron Schatz of Cresco, IA, was driving the tractor. The State Patrol says he was not hurt.

Baker was buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates.

The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, Preston Police Department, Preston Ambulance and the Preston Fire Department also responded to the crash.
