Keep Your Kids Safe On Halloween

Halloween is fun and frightening, but it can also be dangerous for trick-or-treaters.  

Safe Kids Worldwide says the number of children killed while walking doubles on Halloween than any other day. 

The group says parents should make sure their children can both see properly from their costumes and be seen by others.  That means avoiding masks that obscure vision and making sure costumes have bright colors or reflective material.

And think about it – Halloween is the perfect time to remind kids about the importance of looking both ways when crossing streets and using a crosswalk.
