Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was accused of sexually abusing a young girl has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term.

Sentenced Thursday was 38-year-old Lidio Rodriguez.

He was convicted of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct by a jury in October.

The girl reported the abuse in January 2019. According to the criminal complaint, she told an investigator Rodriguez “ had sexually abused her starting when she was 9 years old.”

The criminal complaint says the girl reported numerous incidents that began in January 2016 and continued through December 2018.

Rodriguez was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct in January 2019.

He was sentenced to just over 14 years in prison and given credit for the time he spent in jail after his arrest, which was more than two years.
