
March is Minnesota Foodshare Month
The annual Minnesota Foodshare Drive got under way Monday.The month-long campaign traditionally raises over half of the food that is distributed by the 300 food shelves in the state. The 2013 effort brought in over $8.3 million and nearly 4-million pounds of food. In southeastern Minnesota, the Channel One Food Bank is organizing the drive and has set a goal of $185,000 dollars and 200,000 pounds of food.
