Meet Danielle, a Rochester Native and Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader!
Meet Danielle-who graduated from Century High School in 2013 and was on the Century Dance team. She is in her first year as an MVC and is also a full time student working towards her nursing degree. “I had grown up watching the Vikings, especially the cheerleaders on the side line! I admired the MVC for all the hard work they put in, on and off the field. I wanted the chance to be a part of this amazing group of women, get to do what I love, while making a difference in the community as well. “ Between the practices and the work outs, most of the girls typically I work out somewhere from 8-12 hrs per week. They practice three times a week, and they all say once you are on the team, the working out kind of becomes a lifestyle. That said, it’s a little nice to know they all still sometimes indulge in junk food, when I aksed what their favorite junk foods are, most said Oreos, or pizza. Danielle said “I love pizza and chocolate! These are both huge weaknesses of mine!” (I have SO much in common with her!) And in case anyone is thinking the “dumb cheerleader” stereotype is true, Danielle, who is working towards her nursing degree, says one of her hidden talents is “I am extremely fast at finishing puzzles and brain games! I am extremely fast at finishing puzzles and brain games!” Get to know more about Danielle in her bio at Vikings.com.
