Melissa Davidson of Wabasha is a tiny artist. Okay, she isn’t tiny, but her paintings are. It seems to be the new craze to have teeny tiny artwork. Melissa specializes in unbelievable tiny paintings full of amazing details on 2.5 x 3.5 inch canvases that she cuts out herself from a heavy watercolor paper.

Her painting subjects range from flowers and sunset landscapes, to succulents and zombies from 'The Walking Dead,' her favorite TV show. The paintings can take from one to two hours (for the landscapes) to four to six hours (for the zombies/portraits).

This all started when Melissa was walking through a craft store one day and saw this new trend to make tiny paintings on tiny canvases and tried it herself. Right away she was hooked, and has been making them ever since. In pictures of her paintings, you can see just how tiny the paintings are by the keyboard behind them as comparison! Melissa’s paintings sell for anywhere between  99 cents to $10+ dollars on her eBay store, which she links to her Facebook page, and she can be found on Twitter, where she has almost 87,000 followers!
