The big topic of discussion lately: masks. Many, many stores have started requiring their customers to wear masks. I believe you have to wear a mask if you go to a hair salon. Specific stores that require masks are places like Costco, Starbucks, and soon Walmart and Best Buy will be included on that list.

Governor Walz and his administration are considering a mask mandate across the entire state, but there are some cities in Minnesota that have already put a mask mandate in place. Curious about what cities those are? From WCCO, here is a list of the cities in Minnesota that are requiring masks as of Wednesday, July 15th (I mention the date because I'm sure more cities will start requiring masks in the future).

Duluth - Masks are required in indoor public places.

Edina - Masks are required in indoor public places.

Excelsior - Masks are required in indoor public places.

Mankato - Individuals 13 and older and are medically able to wear a mask are required to wear one in indoor public places. Employees of public accommodations are required to wear masks while in contact with the public.

Minneapolis - Masks are required in indoor public places.

Minnetonka - Masks are required in indoor public places. This takes effect in Minnetonka on Thursday, July 23rd.

Rochester - Masks are required in indoor public places. If you do not comply, Rochester police say they will charge those individuals with trespassing.

St. Paul - Masks are required in indoor public places. Exceptions are young children at risk of suffocation or people who can't wear one for medical reasons.

Winona - Masks are required in indoor public places.
