When people think of tissues, they usually think of Kleenex. Similarly, when they think of soda, Coca-Cola or Pepsi often come to mind. And when it comes to bacon, Hormel is the brand that typically comes to people's minds.

The Minnesota-founded company's bacon is one of the key reasons why Hormel is a global food brand that employs more than 20,000 people. They offer several types of bacon including maple, fully cooked, and thick cut. Recently, Hormel introduced a new bacon flavor, sparking considerable online attention and discussion.

Hormel Foods explains that bacon is big business. John T. Hernandez, brand manager for Hormel’s breakfast meats portfolio. “It’s been an integral part of the company’s refrigerated foods division. In fact, bacon has annual sales of $500 million in retail and club sales.”

The only thing midwesterns love more than bacon is ranch dressing. People use ranch on everything including fries, pizza, and sandwiches.

Hormel decided to combined the two amazing flavors - Ranch flavored bacon is now a thing. Initially, I was skeptical about the idea, but upon reflection, I think it could be quite delicious.

As a fan of chicken, bacon, and ranch sandwiches, I'm definitely going to give this a try the next time I make one.
