Minnesota Named One of the Least Stressed States in the Country
There are plenty of things that could stress us out in a day. Work, the kids, your car, something that you still need to fix in your house, what to eat for dinner, etc., etc. But apparently we Minnesotans are pretty good about handling stressors because we're one of the least stressed states in the country.
This is according to a new study by WalletHub. They looked at "41 key indicators of stress" in order to rank each state from most stressed to least stressed.
Some of the indicators of stress they looked at are things like average hours worked per week, average hours of sleep per night, and the percentage of adults in fair/poor health. They also looked at job security, credit score, affordable housing, the percentage of the population living in poverty, the divorce rate, the crime rate per capita, and psychologists per capita.
10 Most Stressed States in the Country
10 Least Stressed States in the Country
Look at us! Minnesota is THE least stressed state in the country. Some of the key indicators we scored best in are: average hours of sleep per night, the percentage of adults in good health, credit score (we actually were the top in that category), and we have a low percentage of our population living in poverty.
Our only neighboring state not in the top 10 least stressed states is Wisconsin, which came in as the 16th least stressed state.
