5 Minnesota Malls That Are Thriving Right Now (And Aren’t MOA)
Malls are kind of a dying breed. There are malls all over that are struggling because it's just not where people go to shop as much anymore.
We have plenty of 'ghost malls' in Minnesota. There's one in particular that makes me sad because it was the place my friends and I would go back in the day. It was so popular then! It's also one of Minnesota's largest malls, but now it's a couple of stores and even fewer people.

But there are also plenty of malls that have figured something out and are thriving right now.

The Mall of America is a pretty obvious one so that's why it's not getting included on this list of the malls that are actually thriving right now in Minnesota.
Most of them are malls that you'll find around the Twin Cities but one is outside of the Twin Cities area.
Minnesota Malls That Are Thriving Right Now
Apache Mall - Rochester
The Apache Mall in Rochester is doing really well. Every time I've been there's always tons of people and most of the storefronts are full. I do think people visiting Mayo Clinic play a huge role in the success, though.
Galleria Edina - Edina
I haven't been to the Galleria in Edina in a long time but I hear it's still quite busy. They also have really fancy brands like Louis Vuitton and Fawbush's that many other malls don't have.
Ridgedale Center - Minnetonka
Honestly, I think the fact that this mall is in Minnetonka plays a big role in why it's a thriving mall. Typically, people in Minnetonka and the surrounding area have money to spend so the Ridgedale Center is perfect.
Rosedale Center - Roseville
Based on what I've seen on the Minnesota Reddit page, the Rosedale Center is doing really well. One user says that it's "the busiest mall by density in the country". I didn't fact-check that but if that's true no wonder it's one of the thriving malls in Minnesota.
Southdale Center - Edina
I think the location is a reason for Southdale Center continuing to be successful, like Ridgedale Center. I can confirm, though, that there are lots of people at this mall. It's also right across from the Galleria so I would imagine that's beneficial for both of them.
