Minnesota Toddler Dies From Injuries Suffered in Traffic Wreck

Coon Rapids, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minnesota toddler who was seriously injured Saturday in a traffic wreck in Coon Rapids that may have involved an impaired driver has died.

The 2-year-old Lino Lakes boy was with his family when their car was hit head-on by a pickup truck that skidded through the median.

Information on a GoFundMe site set up for the family indicated the young boy was on life support Sunday. An update on the site said he died Wednesday.

With deep regret we inform that little Gautam Pujari passed away this morning at 8:52 am central time (12/4/2019, Wednesday). We thank you all for the prayers and support. At this point of time, the family is requesting privacy to mourn and grieve the loss of Gautam.

The driver of the truck was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later released but authorities expect charges will be filed.
