A wise woman once tweeted: "A thing I never realized about being an adult is that you will always be cleaning your kitchen. No matter if you get take out, no matter if you're gone all day, you will be cleaning. the. kitchen."

Below, you'll find a list of the chores that we dislike the most, along with one common chore that we are doing wrong.

The Chores We Hate The Most

USA Today published this article on the chores that America hates the most and not surprisingly 3 of the top 5 are in the kitchen. (My top 5 would also include scrubbing the stovetop.)

#5 Cooking

#4 Sweeping

#3 Cleaning the Bathroom

#2 Laundry

#1 Washing Dishes

Last week a report came out that said a lot of us are wasting time and money by messing up one basic kitchen chore.  Most people - including myself- are doing the dishes wrong.

How You Are Screwing Up The Dishes:

Experts tell Study Finds that a lot of people are unnecessarily rinsing their dishes before they load them into the dishwasher.

You do not need to rinse before loading modern dishwashers.

Consumer Reports echoes these findings. They encourage people to scrape chunks into the garbage and insert the dishes into the machine - No rinsing required. Their team tested several models with foods known to "stain" plates like egg yolks and found pre-rinsing wasn't required.

Breaking this habit will save water, save money, and save time.

"People who rinse with hot water spend an average of $46.54 per year doing so, while those who use cold water spend about $13.70. Among those in the survey carried out by OnePoll, 31 percent run their dishwasher more than once a day, which would double these costs."
