There are so many awesome towns and fun attractions to visit here in Minnesota. Reader’s Digest just published an article that highlights the coolest secret place in each state. Now, I’ve been all around our state, but I had never heard about Minnesota’s number one secret attraction which is apparently 9,000 years old.

The coolest secret place in Minnesota, known as Jeffers Petroglyphs, is located an hour west of Mankato.

The Minnesota Historical Society says, “Jeffers Petroglyphs features more than 5,000 ancient rock carvings, or petroglyphs, set amid the prairie grasses. The carvings of buffalo, turtles, thunderbirds, and humans tell the stories of Native American ancestors."
