One of my favorite holiday traditions is heading over to Mankato with my wife and kids for the Kiwanis Holiday lights and then going out for Jake’s Pizza afterwards. We’ve gone every year since my son was a tiny baby so we were really bummed out when the pandemic forced organizers to cancel last year.

My boy is 7 now and my daughter is 5 – The perfect ages for Christmas magic. They love going to see the lights, meeting Santa, and seeing his reindeer. It’s not just for kids though. This event is great for anyone that loves Christmas and is a good way to kickstart your holiday spirit.  Find out when it’s opening and how organizers are making it bigger and better this year below.
