It was announced today that Minnesota's sports teams, the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota United FC, Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Wild, and the University of Minnesota Gopher Athletics department would team up with FOX Sports North and other sports media outlets across the state for "Home Teams vs. Hunger"

Home Teams vs. Hunger is a public service campaign and fundraising initiative designed to showcase the power of teamwork.

According to the release, the campaign will take place starting today, September 23rd, and run through next Wednesday, September 30th.

“Home Teams vs. Hunger” will take place Wednesday, Sept 23 through Wed, Sept 30. The week-long campaign will feature content and appearances by Minnesota’s pro sports athletes, coaches and executives, plus include unique give-back opportunities and many one-of-a-kind auction items up for bid."

The fundraising efforts will support Second Harvest Heartland and Minnesota's five additional Feeding America food banks, which serve 110 counties in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

Minnesota's sports teams have created several special packages that will be available to the highest bidder, including packages that feature one-of-a-kind team experiences that the public doesn't usually have the availability to get their hands on, autographed merchandise, and more.

"Highlights include a “Team Premiere Package” with tickets to attend a variety of games once fans are allowed to return to the stands, an “Ultimate Merchandise Package” containing autographed items from every team in town, plus a number of one-of-a-kind team sports experiences typically not available to the public."
