Miss Minnesota won Miss Congeniality in Miss America!

Rochester's Madeline Van Ert won the title of Miss Congeniality at the Miss America Pageant last night. Congrats Madeline!

Madeline was eliminated from the pageant early but clearly made an impact. The title of Miss Congeniality is voted for by fellow competitors, who thought Madeline was the nicest woman in this year's pageant.

Chris Harrison of The Bachelor and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hosted the 96th annual event which featured numerous celebrity judges, including  Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, entrepreneur Mark Cuban, singer Ciara, actress Sara Foster, singer-songwriter Cole Swindell, former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes and musician and actress Laura Marano.
