Month-Long Run For Austin Murder Suspect Has Ended

Austin, MN (KROC AM News) - A man wanted in connection to a murder in Austin has been apprehended.
An arrest warrant was issued several weeks ago for 27-year-old Me’Darian McGruder after he was charged with 2nd-degree murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Tyesha Gills.
Austin Police Chief David Mckichan says Gills was found fatally wounded in a home in the 100 block of 10th Street Northwest in Austin around 2:00 am July 31st.
Officials have not released information about the circumstances of the Austin woman’s death or the evidence used to bring the murder charge against McGruder.
He was apprehended last Friday.
