I am not a huge fan of winter and this spring has been all over the place with a few warm days but a lot of crummy cool days too. I have to keep reminding myself that summer doesn't officially start until June 21st because I'm anxiously waiting for some warm sunshine.

The hotter the better for me. I want to get out on the water and go canoeing or tubing. I want to take my kids to waterparks. I want to ditch my hoodies until this fall. If you're craving hot sunny days like me, you're probably not going to like what the National Weather Service in La Crosse just posted on Facebook. They used the word "interesting" to describe the first half of June for Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. You can read their statement below.

The heat will arrive this summer, but not anytime soon. The National Weather Service just posted a temperature outlook for the first half of June to its official Facebook page.

They describe the temps over the next couple of weeks as "interesting" which isn't an adjective you want to hear weather experts use.

The National Weather Service is calling for below average temps in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin over the next couple of weeks. Temps this time of year should reach the mid to upper 70s, but you can expect highs to be at least 10-degrees cooler than that for the first half of the month.
