National Weather Service Slick Travel Warning

Parts of our listening area will experience a wintry mix of precipitation this morning which will create dangerous driving conditions. The National Weather Service just put a warning to motorist up on their Facebook page.

The post from the NWS says, "Slippery travel this morning as light freezing rain, sleet and snow moves across the area. Allow extra travel time this morning and be prepared for icy roads and sidewalks. Light ice accumulation expected with less than tenth of an inch."

"A wintry mix  tonight into early Sunday morning may cause additional slippery travel across northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin."
