New American Girl Doll is from Minnesota, Here’s Her Story

American Girl has announced their new Girl of the Year for 2024. The newest doll is named Lila Monetti and she's from... Minnesota! As someone who grew up in Minnesota and played with American Girl Dolls, I'm so happy that this is a thing!

Lila is specifically from St. Paul, according to MPR. I couldn't find that on the American Girl website but it could definitely say that in the book that Lila comes with. She's got cute freckles, long, light brown, wavy hair, and a fun pink outfit.

As with all American Girl Dolls, Lila comes with a book about her, that I mentioned earlier. This book is like a journal that Lila wrote in and it's called My Journal by Lila Monetti. 

Lila's story is that she's in gymnastics. In her journal, she writes that she wants to get onto the Xcel Gold Team at her gymnastics studio. However, she has a chance to go to horse camp and isn't sure if she'll be able to do both.

Her story is about doing things that you love and never giving up. Throughout horse camp, she finds ways to still practice her gymnastics and proves that if you put your mind to it, anything is possible!
