River Tubing in Southeast Minnesota

There are quite a few spots around southeast Minnesota to go river tubing in the summer.

I love tubing with friends because you get to get out on the water and do absolutely nothing. It's so nice! You just float down the river on some tubes, maybe having a beverage if you want, and having a great time.

Some of the spots around southeast Minnesota that you can hit up to rent tubes include:

Zumbro River Rats

Root River Outfitters

and Welch Mill

There are others too. You can check out the details for all of them at the end of this story.

New River Tubing Coming to Rochester, MN

We don't have a tubing option in Rochester, though, until now!

It's called Rochester River Rides and you can rent tubes, hop on the Zumbro River, and then get a shuttle back. They're opening for the first floaters this weekend!

You'll park and grab your tubes at 1593 N Broadway Ave, Rochester, MN 55906. That's right by Refashioin and where Glynners used to be.

They have tubes for rent for $30 and special tubes for coolers, also for $30. They hop in the Zumbro and kick back, relax, and enjoy the ride for a few hours.

They'll be open on Saturdays and Sundays, start at 8 AM, and rent out the last tubes at 2 PM (or they'll close earlier if they run out of tubes). Their website says they plan to be open until mid-September.

I'm super excited to have an option for this in town!
