This is a cinematic journey like none other. The Science Museum of Minnesota has brought back their annual Omnifest for its 30th year with five epic films. Omnifest kicks off at the end of February.
The Omnitheater screen is MASSIVE, making it an incredible place to watch films about our planet and solar system. You'll be able to see things like never before. You can go from outer space to under the sea without leaving St. Paul. Omnifest runs February 28th through April 5th.

Films Showing for the Science Museum of Minnesota's Omnifest
One of the five films is Apollo 11. It "takes viewers straight to the heart of NASA's most celebrated mission — the one that first put men on the moon." You'll see the days and moments leading up to the mission from the perspective of the astronauts, Mission Control, and spectators.
Another film is Into America's Wild. It "takes you on a cross-country journey to some of the most beautiful but little-known landscapes of North America." From Alaska to Oregon to the Appalachian Trail. Bonus: It's narrated by Morgan Freeman.
Next is Oceans: Our Blue Planet. Take a peek under the sea and see what life is like in "the largest and least explored habitat on earth." You'll get to see everything from "coastal shallows to deeper, more mysterious worlds."

Then you have Volcanoes: Fires of Creation. You get to explore volcanoes while staying a very, very comfortable distance away from them! They describe it as an "adrenaline-filled, immersive experience".
And finally, there's Lost in Space: A Stella Tours Adventure. Explore our solar system from the comfort of your seat at the Omnitheater. During the film, you'll "captain a spaceship, explore the universe, and search for signs of extraterrestrial life".
