Colorful Candy Shop May be Minnesota’s Smallest Candy Store

I think most Minnesotans are familiar with Minnesota's Largest Candy Store. That's literally what they named themselves but it's true, it's the largest candy shop in Minnesota! But what about the other side of things, the smallest candy store in Minnesota? I may have found it, and it's up in Ottertail.

First, though, if you somehow aren't familiar with Minnesota's Largest Candy Store, it's a huge yellow building over in Jordan and there are so many kinds of candy and soda that you don't know what to do with yourself. If there's a type of candy that you haven't been able to find anywhere, I bet you could find it at Minnesota's Largest Candy Store. It's even fun to just walk around the store and look at everything!

Now on to what I believe to be the smallest candy store in Minnesota. I saw a post in the 'Quirky Minnesota Places' Facebook group about this place. The poster claims that it's the smallest candy store in Minnesota. I looked on the shop's Facebook page and they don't make that claim anywhere but I can definitely see how this could be the smallest candy shop in Minnesota.

The place is called Soda Shop and Lollipops and it doesn't even take up this whole building! As you can see in the picture above, the shop is shared with a clothing store called Mama J's Closet which is owned by the same person. The two shops just recently opened at the end of March 2021. Below you'll see an aerial view of just how small the building is.

As a reminder, the candy shop takes up only half of the space. That's why I'm thinking this is indeed the smalled candy store in Minnesota!

Even though it's so tiny, there are still so many candy and soda options. On the Soda Shop and Lollipops Facebook page, they say that they carry 100 flavors of soda and 100s types of candy.
