Paralympian and Gold Medalist From Minnesota Makes History Again!
We couldn't be more proud that Mike is "one of us".
One of us is how we refer to other Minnesotans, because let's face it, the rest of the U.S. doesn't really understand why we would live here. We're a proud state, and unless you're from here, you just don't get it. But when one of us achieves greatness like St. Cloud, Minnesota's "Monster" Mike Schultz has, we love to both recognize and celebrate it!
Just last month Mike not only had the honor to be a flag bearer for Team USA during the opening ceremonies at the Paralympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea but he also won a gold medal in the men's snowboard cross event and then claimed a silver medal in banked slalom!
Now if that's not crazy enough, Mike was recently surprised during a Live interview with KARE 11 that he made the cover of a limited-edition Corn Flakes box from Kellogg's! Here's how the reveal went down:
USA! USA! USA!
According to the story from KARE 11, Mike was featured on a Frosted Flakes box earlier this year, too. He's also the first-ever Paralympic athlete to be featured on a Kellogg’s cereal box!
This is so awesome. Way to make your home state, and your country proud Mike!
