People are Having Strokes From Getting Their Hair Washed at the Salon – Here’s Why!

It's scary to think that a little thing like getting your hair done at a salon could cause you harm.  Sure, there's a ton of sharp objects laying around and plenty of chemicals that could potentially do some damage.  But what if I told you that by simply washing your hair at the sink could cause your body to have a stroke?

Just ask this one mom from San Diego, as an artery in her neck was torn due to leaning back into a salon sink, causing her to have a Beauty Parlor Stroke.  She experienced all the symptoms - weakness in her left arm and legs, blurry vision, headaches, and even projectile vomiting!

How scary is this?

What's truly frightening is that because these beauty parlor strokes are so rare, it's not entirely known what the exact cause is... it could be because the neck is kinked back while it's being washed in the sink, or maybe the person's head was whipped around in the chair?  We may never know, but at least now you're aware that this could happen to anyone.
