Grab Your Paddles: Where to Find Pickleball Courts in Rochester
Pickleball is all the rage right now. I still have never played... oops. If you have also never played and want to try it out or you're a pickleball lover, I've got all of the different places where you can play a game in Rochester, Minnesota.
I'm honestly a little surprised I haven't picked up a pickleball paddle yet because my husband and I play tennis and my parents are absolutely obsessed with pickleball. So the fact that they haven't dragged us to a court is kind of crazy.
Pickleball Lessons in Rochester, MN
If you want to try out pickleball for the first time, we actually have quite a few class options in Rochester. Chip Shots offers classes. We also have a whole Pickleball Association that offers classes!
At Chip Shots, you can do a 1:1 lesson for $70 for one hour or a group lesson for $20 per person.
The Rochester Area Pickleball Association does offer classes but I don't see and upcoming classes just yet. They did have two classes in June, though, so I would expect a couple in July as well.
Pickleball Courts in Rochester, MN
So you've played pickleball and now you're in love. Where do you play?
Here are places where you can play in Rochester:
Cooke Park (by Old Abe, they have equipment rentals, by the way.)
Eagles (but you do need to be an Eagles or RAPA member.)
Goose Egg Park
Elmcroft Park
Chip Shots
Rochester Rec Center

Honestly, wherever there are tennis courts you can play pickleball. If you know the rules then it seems pretty simple to do. But that's coming from a non-pickleballer so.
