Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman recently admitted to three felony-level charges stemming from an incident in April that resulted in significant damage to the Mayo Civic Center.

Court records indicate 36-year-old Jamie Copeland admitted to a fourth-degree assault charge involving a police officer, fleeing police and first-degree damage to property. Two other felony charges and a gross misdemeanor were dismissed through the plea agreement.

Copeland was arrested after she crashed her vehicle into some doors to the Mayo Civic Center and then went inside and overturned tables before getting back into her vehicle. The criminal complaint says she then rammed into a Rochester Police squad car multiple times before she drove away from the scene.

She was apprehended a short time later at a convenience store in northwest Rochester where an officer reported she was "flailing and screaming" when he approached her vehicle. The charges stated that she later told police she had used methamphetamine. A meth pipe and an open bottle of alcohol were found in the vehicle.

The damage to the Mayo Civic Center was estimated at over $50,000, while the police vehicle rammed by Copeland sustained about $7000 in damage. The officer was treated for minor injuries.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on September, 21st.
