When a game comes out, there are always a huge amount of "tips" and "tricks", but a greater amount of them prove to be false. So lets bust some myths!

First of is one I see spread everywhere, and that is that you can tap a Pokéball after throwing and missing a Pokémon, and you will receive it back without losing it. This is variable. It's frustrating that it rarely works, in fact I have yet to have it work. However others have proven a few successes with it! So its not 100%, but try it if you want.

The next is also spread around wide, and that is utilizing the compass in the phone and game and watching the radar at the bottom of the screen as it pulses will lead you to whatever Pokémon you're looking for. This is false. The radar pulses is actually refreshing the map as you move.

Our next myth is that downloading Google Maps and turning it to offline mode would save your battery life a little longer, however that is false. See tweets below for a little chuckle

Finally our last myth is about the Pokémon Eevee. Eevee currently can transform into 3 different Pokémon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. The myth is that the second attack on the Eevee will show what it will evolve into. Dig being Jolteon, Swift being Flareon, and Body Slam being Vaporeon. Once again, this is false. It's all random, and each Pokémon has an equal chance of being the evolution. Just wait until they add all the other generations of Pokémon and you get to deal with Espeon, Umbreon, Glacion, Leafeon, and Sylveon! That's right, eight different evolutions!
