Powerball Ticket Sold in Minnesota Matches 5 for Massive Payout

The jackpot for this Wednesday's Powerball drawing is now projected to reach $1.09 billion, with the option of a lump sum payment of around $527.3 million. This is the fourth-largest jackpot in Powerball history and the ninth-largest in the history of lotteries in the United States.

Several People Won Big on Monday's Drawing

Even though nobody claimed the jackpot, Monday's Powerball drawing still brought good news. Six lucky tickets matched all five white balls, earning their holders $1 million each.

These winning tickets were sold in various states including Florida, Maryland (2), Minnesota, North Carolina, and Virginia. Additionally, across the country, 53 tickets secured $50,000 prizes, while 11 tickets scored $100,000 prizes.

The Minnesota State Lottery says two $50,000 winning tickets were sold in Minnesota. One at a Kwik Trip in Monticello and the other at a Kwik Trip in Burnsville and a 1 million dollar ticket was sold at a Casey's General Store in Fridley.
