Red Wing Teenager Killed in Crash Involving Garbage Truck
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Red Wing teenager was killed in a crash just southeast of Red Wing Thursday afternoon.
The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Samantha Kriese was driving a pickup that collided with a Waste Management garbage truck on a rural road just before 3 PM. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the garbage truck, 45-year-old Wade Dewell escaped with only minor injuries. The deadly crash remains under investigation with the State Patrol assisting because it involved a commercial vehicle.
