Several school districts in our area are delayed or closed today because of low wind-chill readings and poor road conditions. See the full list of closings and delays here.

A wind-chill advisory continues for our area through noon with readings expected to be as low as 35-below at times. The National Weather Service says frostbite on exposed skin can occur in as little as 10 minutes.

The wind is also creating a mess on area roads and highways. Blowing snow has left many routes in our area partially to fully covered with snow. Your morning commute could be difficult and dangerous. Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination safely. MnDOT's road map (above) from 5:00AM this morning shows what we're dealing with. Blue indicates partially covered and Pink shows where roads are completely covered. To see the most up to date road-conditions, download our mobile app and tap on the menu button.
