Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester is getting closer and closer to setting a wet weather record.

As of noon Thursday, the city’s official rainfall total at the airport so far this week was 3 inches. That has increased the year-to-date total to 41.82 inches. That’s the 4th highest annual total on record - with 3 1/2 months left in the year.

The current annual precipitation record for the city is nearly 44 inches (43.94) set in 1990.

More rain is in the forecast through Thursday evening.
