Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Rochester couple has been arrested in a sex crime case involving a boy under the age of ten.

Interim Police Chief John Sherwin says the two were taken into custody Thursday following an investigation that began in May.

Arraigned Friday on multiple felony counts were 28-year-old Adam Reitz and 25-year-old Shahla Thompson.

Sherwin - who described the case as “a horrible sex crime” - says the boy was used in the production of pornography that was later disseminated. It’s also suspected they gave the boy methamphetamine. Sherwin described the two adults as “meth heads.”

The charges date back to August of last year.

Conditional bail for Reitz was set at $250,000.  Thompson’s bail was put at $125,000.
