Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has admitted to felony drug charges stemming from a significant drug bust last April.

21-year-old Brandon Villagrana-Urista entered into a plea agreement in Olmsted County Court Thursday morning and entered guilty pleas to first and second degree drug possession charges. In exchange, prosecutors dropped another first degree charge.

Rochester police say Villagrana-Urista was driving a car that was stopped near Silver Lake Park after an officer spotted a man wanted on a warrant in the passenger seat of the vehicle. A search of the car resulted in the seizure of over 300 grams of methamphetamine and over 100 grams of marijuana, along with about $3100 cash.

Villagrana-Urista is scheduled to be sentenced on March 30th.
