Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been arrested after he was found inside a vehicle that was reported stolen.

A 27-year-old woman from Stewartville reportedly left her vehicle running and unlocked at the Kwik Trip on 3rd Ave and 12th street southeast while she went inside the store around 2:45 p.m. Saturday. When she came out, the vehicle was gone.

The Rochester Police Department received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the Sherwin-Williams parking lot on 7th Street northeast on Sunday around 11:45 a.m. Officers arrived and saw that it matched the description of the reported stolen vehicle from Kwik Trip. Officers approached the vehicle to find a man inside.

The man arrested was identified as 26-year-old Izack Wells-Crockett. Police said he matched the description of the man on the surveillance video taking the vehicle. Police searched the suspect and found .6 games of what appeared to be methamphetamine.

Wells-Crockett is facing possible charges of motor vehicle theft and 5th-degree possession of a controlled substance.
