Rochester, Minnesota Pride is coming up quick! The big celebration is once again being healed mid-May. The day of Pride and the week leading up to it will be filled with all sorts of fun events to check out and celebrate.

When is Rochester, MN Pride 2024?

This year, Rochester Pride will be on Saturday, May 18th. But before we get into more of the nitty gritty about when, where, and the cool activities for the day of, let's talk about the events leading up to Pride.

Pre-Pride Events

All week leading up to Pride there will be events around Rochester to check out.

The first of the festivities is on Tuesday, May 14th at Little Thistle. They'll be releasing their Slay All Day Beer at the Beers for Queers event, 3 - 9:45 PM. What's even cooler is that the board members for Rochester Pride got to help make the beer!

Then, on Thursday, May 16th Amethyst Yogi will be hosting Pride Yoga in the Peace Plaza. That will be from 7 - 8:30 PM and it's free for all ages.

Also on Thursday, you can see 'Patrick Scully's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Gay Man' at the Civic Theater Black Box. It's 7:30 - 9 PM, free, and for ages 18+.

On Friday, May 17th you can stop by Pop's Art Theater for the opening of 'The People's Joker'. Show time is at 9:15 PM and tickets are $10.

Also happening on Friday is the Pride Kickoff Party at Rochester Civic Theater. The party goes from 8 - 11 PM. You can get tickets online in advance for $10 or at the door for $20. This event is 18+.

Rochester, MN Pride 2024

Saturday, May 18th is the big day! It all kicks off at noon at Soldiers Field. There will be over 100 vendors, live music, food trucks, and activities for people of all ages to have some fun. And... it's free to attend!

But the party doesn't end once 5 PM hits.

Post-Pride Events

Saturday night the fun continues with plenty of events to choose from.

Starting at 5 and going until 10 PM is the Teen After Party at Old School Entertainment. It's for ages 11-18, any kids 10 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult, and it costs $12 to get in. At the event, there will be board games, arcade games, yard games, karaoke, pizza, and Ice cream.

Also on Saturday night is the Official Rochester Pride After Party at Little Thistle. That kicks off at 7 PM and goes until 10. It's a free event and open to all ages.

But wait, there's more! Also at 7 PM Saturday night is the Divine Disco Burlesque Show at Historic Chateau Theater. Tickets are $20-50 and can be purchased online in advance.

On Sunday, the fun continues with Pancakes for Pride at Peace United Church of Christ. That event is from 9 - 10 AM. It doesn't cost anything to go but they are asking for donations that will go toward the church's Pride offering.

And finally, also on Sunday, is the Pride Drag Brunch at Crave. There are two shows, one at 10 AM and one at 1 PM. Tickets to get in are $10 plus the cost of whatever you get for brunch at Crave. Don't forget to bring some cash to tip the performers, too!
