Summer is too short in Minnesota, so we have to make the most of it. With a bit of summer still left, I put together a Rochester Summer Bucket List of things to do before it's too late.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but RPS starts up again in a little over a month. Not a ton of time! But let's make the most of it.

Rochester, MN Summer Bucket List

Attend a FORWARD Concert

FORWARD Concerts kicked off in June and took a break in July, but they're back in August with Jeremy Messersmith on August 12th at John Withers Sports Complex, Raynes on August 19th at White Oaks Park, and Me Like Bees on August 26th at Cooke Park. All of the concerts start at 5:30 PM and are free.

Have Fun at Thursdays Downtown

There are only four more Thursdays Downtowns as of writing this, so don't miss out!

Rent a Boat at Silver Lake

You can rent paddle boats and tandem kayaks at Silver Lake. They also have bikes you can rent if you'd rather stay on land.

Tube Down the Zumbro River

Right in Rochester you can rent tubes and float down the Zumbro for a few hours with Rochester River Rides. You'll get on the river near Coronas Tacos and they'll pick you up and drive you back.

Go to a Honkers Game

Especially with this being the last season of the Honkers in Rochester (at least for now) if you're a baseball fan, you need to get to Mayo Field one last time.

Visit the Farmers Market

The Rochester Farmers Market is peak summer in my eyes. You can get fresh food from local farms so you know it's going to be good quality and you know exactly where it came from.

Attend a Riverside Concert

There are a few more Riverside Concert Series shows coming up. The schedule is Mackenzie Carpenter on July 26th, Sister Sledge on August 2nd, and Better Than Ezra on August 9th. All of the concert openers start at 7 PM with the headliner starting at 8 PM. Also, it's free!

Have a Drink Out on a Patio

Find your favorite restaurant, brewery, or bar and spend some time out on a patio. There's nothing like a warm summer evening hanging out outside with your drink of choice in hand.

Hike Quarry Hill

Quarry Hill is a great hiking spot right in town. There are all different trails to explore, plus the nature center.
