Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are looking for suspects in a series of armed robberies that began Friday and the same men may have been involved in most of them.

The first incident was reported around noon Friday at 832 21st Ave SE near RCTC. Police Capt. John Sherwin says two masked black males in their late teens or early 20s wearing masks and armed with a handgun forced their way into a residence. It’s not known if anything was taken.  

Four of the other incidents happened between noon and 6:00 PM Saturday:

1)  12:14 pm Armed Robbery - El Buen Vino Liquor store, 1831 24th St. NW; 3 masked black males in their late teens/20s and armed with a handgun

2)  4:46 pm Car Jacking - 60th St and 25th Ave NW; Godfathers Pizza delivery driver robbed of red Toyota Yaris 2-door at gunpoint by 2 black males (Godfathers sign attached to vehicle at time of robbery).

3)  5:26 pm Armed Robbery - Motel 6, 2107 W. Frontage Rd. Highway 52; 2 masked black males in their late  teens/20s armed with a handgun

4) 6:03 pm Armed Robbery - Fairfield Inn and Suites 470 17th Ave NW; 4 black males armed with multiple handguns; suspects are believed to have fled the area in a maroon Pontiac G6.

The 6th incident happened around 6:00 PM at Silver Lake Park where a bearded white male armed with a knife attempted to rob victim.

Sherwin says five of the robberies are believed to involve the same suspects who were armed with several handguns. Clothing and suspect descriptions appear to link 5 of the robberies.

As of Sunday morning, no arrests had been made and the Rochester Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying suspects. Persons with information are asked to contact RPD Dispatch at 507-328-6800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
