Rochester Public School’s Free Summer Meals Are Back

Rochester Public School's free summer meals are back for this summer. Kids who are 18 and under are able to come and get a free breakfast and/or lunch.

The meals are being served at 7 different schools in Rochester on weekdays only (with some exceptions).

I'm really happy that something like this is available during the summer months. Sometimes, the only time a kid gets to eat a meal is when they're at school. Then summer hits and... then what? This option removes that concern for families.

Can Adults Eat with Their Kids at the RPS Summer Meals?

In addition to the free meal for kids 18 and under, adults are able to purchase a meal for themselves at an affordable price. That way they don't have to worry about where their next meal will come from and they can eat with their kids.

An adult breakfast is $3.25 and an adult lunch is $5.65. You must pay in cash and have exact change.

Here are the 7 area schools that are serving these summer meals.

Gage Elementary (enter at Door 13)
Monday through Friday, breakfast: 8:30 to 9:30 AM, lunch: 11 AM to noon
(June 15th to August 7th - closed June 19th, July 2nd, July 3rd, and July 24th)

Franklin Elementary (enter at Door 1)
Monday through Friday, breakfast: 8 to 9 AM, lunch: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
(June 9th to August 14th - closed June 19th, July 2nd, July 3rd)

Lincoln K-8 Elementary (enter at Door 7)
Monday through Thursday, breakfast: 8 to 9 AM, lunch: 11 AM to noon
(June 15th to July 16th - closed June 19th, June 29th through July 3rd)

Monday through Friday, breakfast: 8:30 to 9:30 AM, lunch: 11 AM to noon
