We're not the kind to gloat-- at least not in front of you, given our Minnesota Niceness and all-- but we have the best water in Minnesota right here.

That's right. The water that comes out of your faucet (if you're hooked up to city water that is) courtesy of the fine folks Rochester Public Utilities has just been voted the best H2O in the Land of 10,000 Lakes!

According to RPU's May 2019 issue of 'Plugged In,' water from here in Minnesota's Med City has been voted Best Tasting Drinking Water for 2019 by the Southeast Section of the Minnesota American Water Works Association.

And, it's not the first time RPU has achieved this milestone, either. In fact, RPU water won that same award in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and now again in 2019, the story said. (I wonder what happened in 2015 and 2018-- the only two years in that 7-year span where RPU didn't win the award...)

Way to go, RPU! Having great-tasting, clear, clean, fresh water running out of our taps is something we tend to take for granted. But it wouldn't happen without their dedication to make sure everything's working-- whether it's 30 below zero in the winter or near 100 above in July.

So the next time you run the faucet and enjoy a glass of water, keep in mind you're drinking the Best Tasting Water in Minnesota!
