Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department says a Kellogg Middle School student is facing charges in juvenile court for an incident involving a gun at the school earlier this month.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says the incident occurred on October 10th but was not reported to the school administration and police until the following morning. It involved a 13-year-old student who was accused of threatening another student with a gun.

A short time later, the student was identified and the gun, which was an airsoft pistol, was located. Moilanen says the teenage boy is charged with threats of violence, brandishing a replica firearm on school grounds, and possessing a replica firearm on school grounds.
