Rochester Woman Says She Was Held, Beaten by Boyfriend
A Rochester man barricaded himself in a residence located a few blocks away from John Adams school this morning after reportedly assaulting his girlfriend and forcing her to stay against her will. A spokesman says a neighbor in the 3500 block of 21st avenue northwest called 911 around 6 a.m. to report hearing a woman screaming in the home.
Officers surrounded the house and a short while later the woman came out. The man refused to come out and around 8 a.m., officers went in and took him into custody.
Criminal charges are pending against the 42 year old.
